THE OLD POWDER HOUSE INN POLICIES

. We've increased Cleaning Frequency and follow CDC guidelines with EPA products and regular ozonation. To promote Social Distancing we do not provide housekeeping during your stay unless requested. If you need anything during your stay just let us know and we will be happy to help!

. Your total Booking cost includes your homemade breakfast and (rare for this city ) on-site parking, and does not include staff gratuity. Please keep in mind, Our staff works very hard to maintain the details and integrity of your stay. They rely on and greatly appreciate gratuities which we can accept per cash, Venmo, or add by your request to your reservation.

. Upon booking your reservation, we will collect your credit card information to hold your stay with us. Seven days before your check-in is when we would collect payment. That is also the cancellation range. If you cancel inside of those seven days, you may result in forfeiting the first night plus taxes, guarantee payment, or a $50 cancellation fee.

. If you check-out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation no matter what the reason is. Refunds or gift certificates are not available for early check-outs or no shows.

*Weather and Hurricane Policy- We cannot be responsible for delays, interruptions, cancellations, inn closings or inconveniences in your trip due to weather. However, if you have a confirmed reservation and you are due to arrive within 24 hours and an evacuation order (due to hurricane warning) is issued, you will be able to move your reservation to a new date at no charge to you.No refunds will be made. We highly suggest travel insurance: www.insuremytrip.com.

Office Hours: 8AM-4PM (We are available when the door is locked, or after-hours, just a ring away.) On low occupancy days, we may close early or arrive late, depending on the needs of the Inn, but this should not affect your arrival or check out.

• We are an exclusively adult facility. ALL guests must be 18+ years old. All guest rooms sleep only 2/4 guests. Unless special arrangements/requirements are made prior to reservation and check-in. (We have one room available for children and teens- please call us.) Thanks in advance.

• Registration/Parking times: 11:30am - 3:00pm. Rooms are not guaranteed available until 3:00 PM. We are happy to check you in early, if the room is available. There is no one on-site after registration times.

• If arriving after 3PM, please call 904.824.4149 to make after-hours check-in arrangements, or text 904.501.9940.

• One parking space for a standard-sized vehicle per room is an included amenity in our backyard gravel lot. No Trucks wider than 79" and longer than a standard regular cab, no bumped out wheel hubs or no running boards can be accommodated. We have limited spots available for the wider vehicles. Please check with us to see if a spot is available before your arrival. If we cannot accommodate there is a parking garage blocks/5 minutes away for a one-time entrance fee of $20. There is no additional on-site parking.

• Breakfast is an event at The Old Powder House Inn to be savored and remembered. Our three-course house made breakfast in St. Augustine, FL, is served sideboard service style. Our dining room doors open at 8:45AM, breakfast is put out as it is ready.(Kuerig available 24/7.)

• Check-out: 11:00 AM.

• No Smoking or Vaping is allowed anywhere on the property. Including any of our outdoor areas. This rule is firm and could result in a $500 fine. Thank you for your consideration.

• Possession of illegal substances or controlled substances without prescription are strictly prohibited. If we become aware of your possession, you will be asked to leave the premises without a refund.

• Guest are not permitted to have open flames or burn candles anywhere on our property. Shirts & shoes are required in all public areas of the inn.

• Guests accept responsibility for any damages they cause to the inn and guest rooms. Any stains on linens/towels that cannot be removed will result in a charge of up to $30 per item. Black makeup towels are provided.

• Loss or theft of a guest room key will result in a $350 rekeying charge.

• Old Powder House is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of cash, jewelry, or other valuables left behind or unattended in guest rooms.


• We are a small operation, unlike a hotel chain. At times, we may close early and offer a self guided check in or be available by phone. When we are lightly occupied with four guests or less, we will offer a later brunch in place of of breakfast. This will be arranged With a reservation the day before.

• **On Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day: So that staff may enjoy time with their families, we will not be available on site, and breakfast will not be served on that morning. We are a phone call away if needs arise.**

• We cannot accept prepaid gift cards from AMEX, MasterCard or Visa.

SCHEDULED DEPOSIT
Your credit card will hold your reservation, we take full payment 7 days out from your check-in date. You also have until then to cancel without penalty. Applies to: all reservations.
